Alex Canty is a New York City based actor and a proud graduate of James Madison University. As a dynamic and talented actor, Alex brings a professional and refreshing sense of dedication and play to all his projects. He is currently represented by Dulcina Eisen Associates.
Alex’s positive and dedicated attitude proves invaluable on projects of both stage and screen. A fun and professional attitude off set complemented by an unending love of play and exploration on set serve him time and time as his greatest strength. His positivity and care for his fellow performers fosters a healthy creative environment and brings out the best in himself and his fellow cast.
Alex recently joined the Actors Equity Association. He recently returned from “Almost Heaven” at Shadowlands Stages. He is currently auditioning in NYC and also working on a few projects, including a debut album and new musical.
While Alex's passions are performing and music, he has other interests, including playing guitar, piano and ukulele, waterskiing, hiking, kayaking, doing the Electric Slide, songwriting, and exploring new places.
